2014 Big Time Bucking Horse Futurity - July 31st and August 1st at Elbert County Fairgrounds - Kiowa, CO. $1 admission on Thursday for the young broncs and $10 for Friday Night - featuring top bucking stock and tough cowboys. Plan to attend!

Meet contractor/breeder Darcy Hollingsworth
Today we will introduce you to a contractor/breeder that is bringing horses to TBTBHF. Leading off is Darcy Hollingsworth of Alberta Canada.
We are Bar Anchor Ranch. We have been raising bucking horses since the 1990's. I have alwa...ys enjoyed bucking horses and when I was riding them I always had some practice horses around. I work with them all the time handling them chute breaking and bucking them.
My favourite mare is J9 Mountain Dew she was the first really good horse that I raised. Everyone wanted to get on her because she was so nice. They won a couple of pro rodeos on her. She raised me a great horse we called Pedro who won the very first futurity in Las Vegas. Chad Ferley was 87 points on him and he sold for $55,000. Pedro has been the bucking horse of Canada making both Canadian finals ,NFR, and the 4 round at Calgary the last 3 years. Mountain Dew also raised a really good mare we called Wilson Sanchez who is 4 this year and I am planing to bring to Kiowa this year. My favourite stud is a tough one we have direct sons of Grated Coconut, Painted Valley, and a grandson of Commotion. Last year we ai'ed two mares to a clone of Go Wild who was a great bucking horse.
Our greatest accomplishment has been topping the NFR sale 4 times and being 2nd once. It give us a good name in the business and opened many doors.
I was at the Kiowa futurity a couple of years ago and it was a great event. It is within traveling distance for most of the major breeders in North America so the competition will be tough.
